Cultivating a Living Legacy

We are delighted to bring Garrett Drew Ellis to our Online Community Education Series!
Join us for this upcoming virtual workshop designed to give community members, as well as practicing end-of-life doulas, the inspiration and skills to share your own legacy or help others to communicate theirs.

Cultivating a Living Legacy: Legacy Work, Writing and Practice is a workshop geared towards helping individuals learn the art and skill of legacy writing and cultivation, all for the sake of doing so for both self and others. Through both presentation and group/individual exercises, participants learn what it means to not only cultivate a living legacy for themselves and for others, but to document this through writing memoirs or other legacy focused projects.

To be fully present and prepared, individuals will need a journal, computer or something to write with. Participants are welcome to supplement the workshop by purchasing and reading Garrett's work: Write Until You Feel Better: Journal Prompts for Writing through Grief and Depression and the forthcoming "A Stone of Help: The Practice of Remembrance for the Management of Grief " (A Stone of Help will be available for purchase on Amazon June 13, 2023)

Workshop cost $25. Please contact us if this pricing is out of reach- we have scholarships available!
