Elizabeth is co-founder and co-director of The Peaceful Presence Project and an end-of-life doula. Elizabeth spent a decade developing and facilitating international experiential education programs and brings this experience as well as community and urban planning skills to enrich the Compassionate Communities framework of our courses.

 
 
 
 

Erin Collins MN RN CHPN

Erin is co-founder and co-director of The Peaceful Presence Project, an end-of-life doula and a nursing educator. Erin has developed curriculum for end-of-life doulas, community volunteers, community health workers, personal health navigators and clinical staff. Erin is passionate about sharing knowledge and skills to develop a more grief- and death-literate human culture.

 

Ottamissiah Moore, BSN RN

Ottamissiah (Missy) is a certified hospice Nurse and End of Life Doula from Washington D.C. Her wealth of experience and knowledge in nursing spans over 38 years. Missy collaborates with VITAS Innovative Hospice Care and the National Black Nurses Association to provide educational seminars and trainings on nursing topics such as mental health first aid, wound care, hospice, care of the aging, IV therapy and scope and regulation of practical nursing. Missy is a Lifetime Member of the National Black Nurses Association, where she also actively serves on numerous committees.

Missy met Erin and Elizabeth at the End-of-Life Nursing Education Consortium (ELNEC) training in 2022 and completed the Professional Presence End-of-Life Doula training within 3 months. She has been a partner and collaborator with Peaceful Presence ever since.

 
 
 

Qwynn Galloway-Salazar, phD

Dr. Qwynn Galloway-Salazar is the Founder and CEO of In Their Honor. As an Army Veteran, Spouse to a Combat Veteran, End-of-Life Doula, and Educator, she has proudly devoted more than two decades of her career to elevating the lives of military and Veteran communities. In founding In Their Honor, Qwynn embarked on a mission to collaborate with communities, states, academia, and organizations to ensure Veterans and their loved ones receive the support they deserve through the end of life. She candidly declares, she loves to “inspire the doers.”

As both a Creative Advisor and Lead Advisor at the PsychArmor Institute, Qwynn extends her expertise and strategic direction to transformative projects. Notably, she was pivotal in the groundbreaking launch of the "Caring for Veterans Through the End-of-Life Collection." This 3-part collection, infused with profound wisdom and empathy offers invaluable guidance and support for Compassionate Communities, Caregivers/Loved Ones, and Healthcare Providers.


Kari Sims Anthon, C-IAYT

Kari is a co-founder and the Doula Program Manager for The Peaceful Presence Project. She serves the community of Sisters, Oregon as an end-of-life doula, and offers mentorship and guidance to the entire collective of doulas at Peaceful Presence. Kari not only facilitates courses, she provides all the support and technical assistance to students as they navigate our courses.



 

Lindsay Compton

Lindsay is our Program Coordinator for The Peaceful Presence Project, and serves as an end-of-life doula and as a facilitator for advanced care directives through our Koda Health initiative. Lindsay’s previous career as a public school teacher makes her a wonderful addition to our Peaceful Presence Project Professional Presence Faculty Team!
