How do we honor and strengthen the continuity of relationships across the veil of life and death? Holly will share inspiring examples of creative rituals from living memorials and meaningful celebrations of life to home funerals and “re-dos” of ceremonies that went wrong or never happened.

Holly J Pruett, MA, NEDA-Proficient End-of-Life Doula & After-Death-Care Educator

An experienced and knowledgeable life passage guide, Holly helps individuals, families, and communities to prepare for, live with, and talk about death. Holly is professionally trained as a Life-Cycle Celebrant, Community Death Educator, Home Funeral Guide, and End-of-Life Doula; with two Proficiency Badges from the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance, and certification in Thanatology from the Association for Death Education & Counseling. A well-known conversation leader and consultant, Holly co-created the non-commercial public information website Oregon Funeral Resources & Education, founded PDX Death Café and the Death Talk Project, and facilitated Oregon Humanities’ Talking about Dying Conversation Program.
