The Peaceful Presence Project 2026 Continuing Education Series Presents:
Walking Beside Someone Living with Dementia
Thursday, September 10th 2026
from 5:00-6:00 pm Pacific Time
Guest Presenter: Debbi McCune, CDP CMDCP
About the Workshop:
People living with dementia continue to experience love, fear, joy, comfort, and connection even as the disease changes how they communicate and interact with the world. Understanding these changes allows us to respond with greater compassion and confidence.
In this webinar, Debbi McCune shares practical insights into how dementia affects the brain and offers simple, meaningful ways family members, friends, volunteers, end-of-life doulas, and professionals can create moments of connection, reduce distress, and preserve dignity. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the person behind the diagnosis and practical approaches for walking beside them throughout the dementia journey.
